Where Music Meets Magical Moments

Kindermusik of Charleston has been a wonderful experience for me and my granddaughter. We enjoy the music and accompanying dance, instrumental and reading activities. There is also a wonderful social component with children of a similar age. When we are back home, playing the CDs with the musical instruments reinforces the enjoyable learning that takes place during the classes. It is a terrific introduction to music, movement and group activities for infants and toddlers and the program grows with them.

Miss Sheila and her Kindermusik classes have been a wonderful part of my son’s life since he was 6-months old!  Now at almost 5-years, he looks forward to seeing her each week, and the scope of his appreciation and love of music continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Kindermusik is such a well designed program and my son has no idea how much he is learning through all the exciting activities and songs!

My almost 3-year-old daughter and I first enrolled in Kindermusik classes at the suggestion of a friend when my daughter was 6 months old. We haven’t missed a session since! The program is a great way to spend time with your little one away from home in a structured yet very relaxed social and learning environment. At first my daughter simply loved being around other infants and hearing the music.

Now she sings the songs all week long and asks almost daily when we’re going back to Kindermusik to see Ms. Sheila! She loves the music, the dancing, the instruments, storytime and being with the other children. It is all fun to her, and all the while I know it is strengthening her musical, cognitive and overall development. Kindermusik is an activity we both enjoy, and it has certainly been a good learning experience for both of us.

I have so enjoyed Kindermusik with all three of my children.  Taking classes with them as  babies to three years old was such a treat. As a mom, one of my favorite aspects of Kindermusik was being able to step outside of my errands and routine for that 45 minute class to just enjoy them and watch them with no distraction.  As for the kiddos themselves,  it is a joy to see them so naturally respond to the music and carry it with them throughout their week singing and talking about Ms. Sheila. She has been the first teacher for all of my children, and I enjoyed her nature and way with the kiddos so much that I have continued to travel from James Island to Mt. Pleasant for the classes. I have to say that I will miss these classes as my kiddos grow. They will be a very sweet memory!

We love Kindermusik! My son and I have been going since he was three months old. Our teacher, Ms Polly, has a beautiful voice and makes the class dynamic and engaging. My son has learned a ton, from sign language to stomping his feet and he has a blast every week! We love the new books and instruments we get to take home each new unit too. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun way to get their baby or toddler out of the house to hang around other littles.

We have been attending Kindermusik classes in Mount Pleasant for about 9 months and we love it! Our two year old son loves the classes and is excited to go every week. He has a lot of fun but also seems to learn new things in class as well! I recommend these classes to everyone I know with babies and toddlers!

Both of my children have had phenomenal experiences in their Kindermusik classes. They helped my son blossom socially and find such confidence in expressing himself. The skills he gained were so helpful when he started school. The parent/baby class with my daughter has created so many treasured memories. My daughter and I love Kindermusik of Charleston! We signed up just after moving to Mt. Pleasant in Jan 2022, and we have attended the Foundations class for babies and now the Our Time class for toddlers up to 3 years. We have had an amazing experience. As a former special ed teacher, I am so impressed by how research based the program is. I have learned how specific activities help my daughter’s brain and language development in different ways. I’ve also been so happy to watch my daughter progress in the class, first observing, then requesting Kindermusik songs at home, and now participating with more confidence. She has made friends and developed social skills in the class, which is very important to me since she does not attend daycare. Due to the program’s generous makeup policy, we’ve attended classes run by three different teachers, and each one of them has been fantastic. I so enjoy watching each of them bond with my daughter and interact with her in a way that feels tailored to her needs and personality. Signing up for Kindermusik is truly the most beneficial thing I’ve done for my daughter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this program to any parent.

My 3 and 1/2 year old has been participating in Kindermusik since before he was 1! It is vital to children's development and will greatly enhance their music abilities when they start studying an instrument. I can not say enough positive things about my family’s experience with Kindermusik! We LOVE Kindermusik of Charleston!! My daughter has been enrolled since she was 8 weeks old (now almost 3 and new baby sister will be starting soon, too). It’s one of the best investments you can make in your child’s development, your bonding with them, teaching early music skills, and building community as a parent, hands down.
